I was hoping maybe some of our readers from the UK could describe what choosing a carrier is like in the UK. Most of the time I see UK residents relieved that their carrier relations aren't like that of the US. Here we have to choose a carrier and then pick from their selection of devices. Over there don't you all buy a device then choose a carrier?

My HTC One S refuses to dial telephone numbers entered in the common UK formats: +44 (0) 20 1234 1234 or +44 (0) 1865 123 123 This is a MAJOR problem as most of the UK numbers on the web list with the bracketed zero "(0)" and the organisation I work for has thousands of contacts with this format - all of which I cannot dial. My Blackberry handles both +44 20 1234 1234 and +44 (0) 20 1234 1234 formats correctly. Come on Android (if it is in fact an Android problem) get your act together and handle bracketed numbers correctly.

Having moved to India for work from UK, I recently purchased a Galaxy Note. Being a heavy user of spotify i was expecting to do the same, until my phone instantly chose the indian marketplace by default. I was hoping that using my UK bank account for my transactions would change the default country but no luck. Any ideas guys? (and gals)
