SyNtHeSiS
Hi. I have a Samsung Galaxy S II. Wanted to know, will updating to Ice Cream Sandwich via Kies wipe off my data (applications, settings etc) or will my data still be there after the update? bdfull3r
Read the instructions for the update. hey should tell you. Usually no, usually an OTA or Kies update preserves user data. If you are concerned there are plenty of apps to backup your data. Google drive and dropbix usually work for most data. Sync your google account for your contacts(you can also export contacts to sd card) If you are rooted titanium backup saves apps and their data Sms backup for your messages
DhanaiahK
Hey, ICS upgradation via Kies won't remove your apps or data. Some apps like internet browser may not work after upgradation. Then you can fix issues with those apps by doing settings -> applications -> {your app like 'Internet browser'} -> clear data. -- Dhanaiah Galaxy | Best of Android | Android News | Best Android Apps | Android Games | Android Devices Apple Health Club | Best Tips to Stay Healthy
