melvinzammit
Hi everyone, I'm Melvin Zammit. I have been programming since I was 9 years old. Recently I made some Android apps. Here's a link to one of them: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neurondigital.timecapsule&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5uZXVyb25kaWdpdGFsLnRpbWVjYXBzdWxlIl0. I have been programming on Android for over 4months now. I came here to learn new stuff from you guys and maybe give you some of my experience. Thanks
Revmacd
Hi Melvin. Question for you: if you want to learn to program and have little experience but plenty of desire and patience, what would be the one book/web site/magazine or what have you to start by studying? I'm sure the local college has a night course for me. What would the name of that class even be? Should you learn Java or Python? OK, that's more than one question. Any answer would be appreciated. melvinzammit
Hi, It depends what you want to program. If you'r heading to android apps I suggest taking a look at the NewBoston tutorials on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/course?list=EC2F07DBCDCC01493A&feature=plcp. I learned most of the android stuff there. I guess If I had to learn one language I'll choose Java not Python because it's more wildly used. Hope this helps.
