mikearnill
It's simple, simply get the unlocking code for your mobile and it will help you out to unlock your mobile phone. You will be able to get those unlocking code from your nearby store or from internet.
burntsox
Harish - You seem to be doing the update right, but you may have a different problem: your carrier in UAE may not yet have received the Jelly Bean update push from Google. I'm in Cyprus, and until my phone was like yours ... until I found, at long last, a notification that my phone had received an update. I'm now fully activated with Android 4.1, and loving it. :D If you can't wait, you can root your phone and install it manually... but honestly I don't know what that means. maynaard
The updated notification has to be sent by the device manufacturer. You can't manually update it.

John Dave
Let me share you the rooting trick: 1. First you need to ensure that USB debugging is on and your device has 75% charged. 2. Back Up everything because you are going to loose every thing in this process. So it’s better to back up. 3. What you need is openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-magur.img (Use latest version) and UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.50.zip and Android.zip (It is the firmware you want to flash i.e. Android 4.2.2, 4.3 or 4.4 whatever it depends upon your choice and availability). I will be telling you using the example Android.zip. 4. Put your device into boot mode by pressing and holding power + volume down until you see green android bot or start text. 5. Connect your device to PC. 6. Extract Android.zip in desktop and open openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-magur.img to extracted Android folder. 7. Open command prompt on the Android folder. And run the following command fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-maguro.img 8. Reboot your device. 9. Now Connect your device to your PC and copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.50.zip to your device’s SD card. 10. Now you need to power down your device and boot into TWRP Recovery. To do this, with the device powered down, press and hold the Power + Volume Up + Volume Down buttons until you see Start highlighted. Press volume down button twice to highlight recovery mode and press power button into recovery. 11. Once in TWRP, tap on Install and navigate to the location of UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.50.zip and tap on it to add to the flash queue. 12. Swipe from let to right where it says swipe to confirm flash process. 13. Once the flash process completes go back to main menu and press reboot. All done you can now enjoy updated version !! :)
