How to delete e-mailadresses from contact list?

Hi everyone,

I'm very pleased with my Samsung Galaxy Ace , except for one thing: everytime when i want to send a text message, i start entering a name for my contact, eg. "John" for John Smith, but i always end up with a long list of e-mailadresses in there, while i simply just want to have my telephone contacts in there as I never send any MMS messages (and thus no need for e-mailadresses there).

I think it happened when I accidentally synced my contacts from Gmail to my telephone contacts...

How can I undo this?

I have a galaxy ace GT-s5830i with android 2.3.6..

Thanks loads!

Open Contacts then tap Menu > More > Display options. Then under Choose contacts to display look for any entries that have an email address associated with it and make sure none of the boxes are ticked. Although this won't delete those email addresses, it will prevent them from being displayed.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I actually meant the contacts that appear in the box when I'm trying to text someone. It always shows the e-mailadresses as well, nevertheless I did what you described. I guess that only works for the contact list itself..? So there are probably no other solutions for this problem?
