LG SPECTRUM timestamp question

Hello everyone-

I have an LG Spectrum VS920. I have a question regarding timestamping. Before I went to sleep last night my phone was at about 1% life so I knew it was going to die overnight. However I recieved an MMS overnight and when i woke up in the morning it was stamped at 4am? Is this possible if my phone was off until about 8am? I doubt its possible that my phone lasted from about 10pm to 4am with 1% battery life? The screen was off and nothing was running, but i imagine that even the simple background processes would drain 1% of battery life fairly quickly. But how would it be possible otherwise? I thought the timestamp would be from when i turned on the phone, not when it actually was sent? Anyone any ideas???
