Internal/Sd memory issue

I have a Samsung galaxy player 5.0(yp-g70). A week or so ago, for some reason it stopped up on me. It would not pass the samsung boot up screen. So I desided to reset the thing. Everythink seems to be working now except for the internal memory/sd card. I can see the internal partition that has gingerbread installed, but it will not show me the additional 5ish gigs of internal mem. I also tried plugging in a sd card and it says in the notifications that "sd card blank or has unsupported filesystem." I clicked on it, and it gave me the option to reformat it, but it did nothing. Under 'SD card and storage' both sd card and usb storage are listed as unavailable. Haven't been able to reformat or mound either one from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
