Hi there,

I was using my S2, suddenly it went dead.

I removed the battery, after 5 minutes put it back...it started & stuck at the s2 logo (initial screen)...again i removed the battery & reinserted...but from then its not even starting up.

I connected it to PC using data cable...but phone was not detected.

The USB connector seems burnt. But i removed the USB port connector & put battery & tried to start...but no success either.

Care centre people told me that the motherboard is gone.

Now the questions are:

1. Is this really a case of dead motherboard?

2. Can we erase the internal memory from galaxy s2 motherboard which is dead?

I need expert opinion on these questions...i have very important data on the internal memory of my S2.

Please let me know what can be done.
