mayoyo
My friend basically use on his Galaxy S4. Last week, this unlucky guy accidentally dropped his S4 into water and the stock battery stopped working. He didn't know how to fix it. I told him to dry it with a hair dryer or put it in rice but it still not work, so we had to consider it as a totally died one. He thought it might be a chance to get some extended battery so after comparing prices and discounts he bought a new extended battery from MPJ and have used it for weeks already. Fortunatly, it appears to work just as well as the stock battery. Now his S4 boosts up to 7000mah...I'm even a little jealous!

jennysmith1
At that time turning it on when it was still wet was not a good idea. Strip battery etc out and leave in rice for 2 to 3 days and try again.

reed12b
I have two kids and they have had several water incidents. Yes the putting the phone in a bag of rice to dry it out does dry out the phone, but there is no guarantee that the phone will always still work. Or be 100% if it does turn on. I say somewhere around 40% off the time it has worked for us. But it is a pretty cheap attempt to save a phone. Good luck.

I've been seen discovery and they showed a plastics bag in which they put a wet nokia lumia and i guess thy have waited for 8 hours and then that device starts working !! I' was thinking to do this experiment over my samsung tab2.
