Jack Holt
Article - Link This a question for all of you who own or have owned a RAZR. Are you excited for upset at the fact that Motorola is finally releasing a device of their own accord that will come with an unlockable bootloader? A lot of folks feel that it's a slap in the face considering they purchased a locked one. I personally feel that it's a step in the right direction, finally, for Motorola to make this move. What do you guys think?
Psywar
Didn't Google buy Motorola? You would think Google would have known better that any device since they purchase of the company should come with an unlocked bootloader. I agree with you about the "slap in the face". I would be pretty ticked off.
FU3L
I think its a step in the right direction too, so long as from now on the dev edition launches alongside the normal one. I think if I were Moto I would only sell the dev one online to help keep carriers off my back and also to keep the dev version out of the hands of those who don't know what they're getting. However, if I had bought the Razr, I would seriously want a trade in program or something.

I would be pretty ticked off. They haven't fully purchased them yet or the sale hasn't completed. They have to go through the government stuff to make everything legal and so on which from what I remember reading is set to happen this next week. So who knows, maybe after that we will see unlocked devices.
