Hunter
Hi, I have a cheap rooted Nextbook Premium 7 SE tablet (Android 4.1 Jelly Bean). I am trying to edit a system file (/system/etc/permissions). I have tried using ES File Explorer as well as Root Explorer apps. Every time I make changes to the file, and even after it asks me if I want to save changes, the changes do not take place. I've checked the advanced settings on ES File Explorer. Is it possible that the ROM in this tablet will not let me edit a system file even though it is rooted? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, it is possible that even if you are a rooted user you can't edit some of the files as I guess it may be in the standby mode, do one try restarting your device in the safe mode and try editing ! Does this helps you ???
