Android phone was dropped and crashed. How to rescue phone information?

I got a HTC Android phone a few months ago. But, in this morning, something happened. This phone was dropped to the ground and was crashed. Fortunately, I had stored all contacts, email accts, apps, messages and pictures on the inner Micro SD card. But, all of them could not be accessed on my computer. The windows gave a not formatted error and asked to format this card when trying to open it there ….what can I do? Is there any hope for my phone pictures, contacts…? PLEASE HELP!

Well, that was sad :( I think you can backup your contacts because if they have been synchronising then it may be available over the gmail account, also if look for pictures over your gmail account if you have sync your ... your apps are also saved over to your Google account i.e. the account you are using over your device ! Other than this I don't think there is any other way to recover messages back.

Connect your mSD card to your PC and run a recovery app on it. Something like this - http://youtu.be/_aR5IemPYcY might do the job for you. See to that you don't write any new data to your mSD card until the data is recovered from it.

Well, @Ben I guess OP can also use Recuva to backup the data, anyway I would say what better @! But I guess for recovering the data like contact, apps I guess gmail account works out the best as there isn't any need to  do anything with it other than putting the gmail account over to the new device all the contacts and the apps would automatically get downloaded.

You can put in keywords like "data recovery software" "card data recovery" etc. on the Internet to find professional data recovery software. But I guess free one may cannot get back your data completely. If the data in your card is very important to you, you can get a paid software.

Gmail backs up all info to Google servers automatically, And phone numbers will be attached to your gmail account that you signed in when you first received the phone

yes maybe you can download some data recovery software to help fix your problem

All of that data is backed up to Google's servers. Upon getting a new smartphone, you should be able to retrieve that data on initialization. As far as I know, and assuming your smartphone is entirely unusable, there is no way to retrieve that data off the phone itself.

 

As others have suggested, you could use a data recovery software tool to try and pull the data from the microSD card on your computer. LifeHacker has some great suggestions, if you're interested.

Also he can use dropbox for saving all of his data.
