Larkin3
Hi, I have a Kindle Fire 2 that I rooted when I received as a gift a couple of years ago. Was working well as a generic Android tablet till a couple of months ago, began being unable to access certain apps, receiving repeated 'google play services has stopped' error when accessing some apps or web browsing. I researched the error and have tried several solutions suggested, including clearing caches of every app I can think of including play store, play services, services framework, but error persists. I can backup my data and reset to factory settings if necessary, but I don't remember the steps I took to enable root access at the beginning, and I didn't want to risk losing root when I reset. Is there someway to reset to factory but keep root access? Thanks
