Philpense
Have an Android phone made for AT&T. In the system section, I now find a message "Storage card updates" Copy update package to storage card for system updates. "ZTE" the company that makes the phone says that the download I got from their site is not correct. The support tech went on to string together some nonsense that did not answer the question. They have agreed to escalate the case but in the interim this brings up an interesting question... An SD card did not come with the device. Could this be something addessed by an Android update? The phone came with Android 4.1.1 and is the current OS. How can one move the device to a subsequent Android OS version. Additionally, I have been looking at "rooting" the device. Where can one find the best guidance on doing so and what would be the worst that could happen? Much thanks in advance for an informed reply.
